Extend Fields Ertel Rd. To Pleasant Plain

One of the biggest growth problems Warren County faces is the lack of east-west transportation, mainly due to the Little Miami river that cuts the county in two.  There are vitrually no major east-west routes across the county.  Hamilton county to the south has 2 major east-west highways and a handful of other major roadways.  Butler county has the regional highway that connects Hamilton to 75, along with Tylersville Rd, Liberty Way, and other. Warren county has 0.  The only way to cross to eastern Warren County, east of the Little Miami river, is 71 or Montgomery Rd/US 22.  These two aren't ideal because they are both primarily north-south routes, drifting slightly east to point at Columbus.  Try driving to Morrow without using US 22.  Pretty challenging.

Now also consider this.  Just east of the end of Field Ertel Rd. is the Little Miami River.  On the other side of the river is thousands of acres of undeveloped land largely untouched because of a lack of transportation to the west.  Now imagine the potential of this land if a 4 land highway crossed the Little Miami River at Fields Ertel Rd and continued out to Pleasant Plain?  That would open up all kinds of potential in Warren County.  Notice now that most development is actually further north and east to lineup with major transportation arteries.  The potential here is huge!

What about the traffic this would bring to an already busy Fields Ertel rd?  That topic is for another another day!
